Engineering first.
Business followed.
I didn't begin in a boardroom. I started with sound systems and the people using them.
My career began in technical roles at Harman in the UK, followed by leading project engineering at Sound Technology. I returned to Harman in EMEA applications, moved to the Middle East to run GSL Professional, and later rejoined Harman in senior EMEA leadership. From there I became Group CEO of EAV, and now Managing Director of Void Acoustics.

What I was
responsible for.
The organisation's results belong to the teams behind them. These are the responsibilities I held and the work I was part of.

Void Acoustics.
Void has a character that can't be copied easily. My job is to help it grow without sanding that away. I'm working with its founders on commercial performance, product priorities, manufacturing and new audiences in design-led hospitality, while protecting the nightlife heritage.
Void's announcement of my appointment ↗What the role involves
I succeeded co-founder Alex Skan as Managing Director in May 2025. The brief spans international channels, financial performance, product strategy, team accountability and the next stage of a distinctive British manufacturer.

EAV Group.
This was a different kind of responsibility: group performance across European companies, managing directors and their teams, private equity shareholders and acquisition work.
Scope of the Group CEO role
Responsible for group performance, shareholder engagement and leadership across several countries. I held formal managing-director appointments in Germany and the Netherlands and advisory board roles across Swiss subsidiaries.
The work included acquisition searches, negotiations, diligence, integration, vendor due diligence and presentations to investors.

GSL Professional.
At GSL I moved further into the commercial side. Together we expanded the distributor into additional markets, secured brand relationships and built the systems and facilities to support a larger business. Company growth across my tenure was more than 80%.
What changed as the business grew
My role included new territories, major brand rights and investment in the operating infrastructure, including SAP systems and premises. GSL received Harman Professional global distributor recognition in 2017.
The growth figure is a company-level result across 4 years.

Harman & Sound Technology.
I began at Harman in a UK-focused technical role, then moved to Sound Technology to lead its project engineering team. I returned to Harman in an international application engineering role across EMEA. After running GSL Professional in the Middle East, I came back to Harman EMEA to lead the Enterprise business, then became Director of Audio for the region.
A technical paper I wrote in 2014 ↗How the roles fitted together
My early career centred on technical applications, sound system design and engineering. At Sound Technology I ran the project engineering team, before taking an international application engineering role back at Harman.
The later Harman EMEA leadership roles came after GSL, rather than as a continuous progression from those earlier engineering posts. I led Enterprise across EMEA before moving into the Director of Audio role.
